Navarathri Celebrations 2017

Navarathri Celebrations 2017

Let’s Celebrate NAVARATRI at Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple Houston Aadheenam!

Navaratri, one of the most intensely celebrated festivals of Hinduism & the Vedic tradition, is an occasion to connect with the feminine form of the divine. ‘Nava’ means nine and ‘ratri’ means night and also intensity.

Navaratri is a festival which celebrates nine different expressions of Devi (Cosmic feminine energy) spanning over a period of nine nights and ten days. It is a time when people can become more intense in their desired field & it is an auspicious time for one’s own spiritual evolution

Intensity means radiating the energy that does not create any conflict inside and outside. In these nine days whatever may be the nature of a person, it becomes intense. Celebration & dance become a complementary support for devotees to express their intensity.

At Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple Houston Aadheenam, we will be celebrating Navarathri with great pomp and grandeur!

Devi Alankaram

Day 1 – Devi Raja Rajesjwari

Devi Raja Rajeshwari – the Royal Divine Queen of all Kings – is the most splendid form of the Cosmic Mother – the merciful protecting energy of the Cosmos.

Rajarajeshwari is the focussed form of all Gods and Goddess; the sum total of all energies of the Cosmos. She is care, love, mercy, and grace intensified. Rajarajeshwari is known as Avyajakaruna murthy – Merciful without any reason.

The scriptures describe Her to be seated on a Simhasana, upon Lord Sadashiva – the Cosmic Consciousness whose legs are Lord Brahma, Rudra, Indra and Vishnu. Also, she is fanned by Goddess of wealth – Lakshmi and Goddess of Learning – Saraswati. She is depicted to be worshipped by all the 330,000,000 Devas and Lord Ganesha and Subramanya.

The Sri Chakra and the Maha Meru are the mystical figures and forms of the Devi Rajarajeshwari.

Day 2 – Devi Meenakshi

The Mother of the Cosmos, “Adi Shakti” (the original source of energy), the divine consort of Lord Shiva, “Lord Sundareshwara.” She is a mighty queen, & she rules the kingdom exuding exemplary administrative powers, cosmic justice, & causeless compassion as Universal Mother to all.

We know, Swamiji is Incarnation of Devi Meenakshi Herself. “Meenakshi’ means “the one who has eyes like that of a fish”. Just as fishes protect their young as their own eyes, Devi Meenakshi looks after her devotees. With her one look, one glance our miseries disappear.

Day 3 – Devi Kamakshi

One day Lord Shiva entered unexpectedly into Maa Parvati’s place. At that time some yoginis were present without dress. Maa Parvathi close the three eyes of Lord Shiva immediately without any thought. But as Lord Shiva’s eyes resemble Sun, Moon, and fire, the world became dark completely because of Maa Parvathis action. Goddess Parvathi also became dark. She surprised and asked Lord Shiva how this happened? and how to remove her dark color complexion? Lord Shiva explained the reason and advised her to do penance to get rid off the sin that was generated by her action.

Maa Parvati accepted and came to earth as Katyayini (Daughter of Katyayana Maharshi) and went to Varanasi and became as Annapurna and did anna dana and changed her dark complexion into golden complexion. After that, she came to Kanchi and did penance for Lord Shiva. She did penance with Pancha Bana mantra beneath a mango tree. Lord Shiva suffered with this penance and send Ganga Mata to test her devotion. Ganga mata came aggressively to destroy Maa Parvathi puja. But Maa Parvathi stopped and caught Ganga in a holy Kapala, along with Ganga Lord Shiva also caught in that holy Kapala. Lord Shiva became angry and increased water flow tremendously, Maa Parvathi afraid and praised Maha Vishnu for advice. He advised to completely surrender to Lord Shiva and this is the only solution in this critical situation. Maa Parvathi praised Lord Shiva and hugged Shiva linga and completely surrendered to Lord Shiva. Today also we can see some marks of Parvathi Mata jewels on Ekamreshwara Shiva linga. A mango tree also present in Ekamreshwar temple.

Lord Shiva accepted her devotion and married her again on request of Pramatha ganas. Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma and Katyayana maharshi conducted the Shiva paravtahi kalyanam. At that time Maa Parvathi fulfilled all her devotees desires with her looks. hence the name Kamakshi mata.

Day 4 – Devi Visalakshi

Devi Visalakshi means wide eyed Devi. The earrings and the three eyes of Goddess Sati are said to have fallen on this holy spot of Varanasi. Visalakshi is the deity of the Visalakshi Temple & Kalabhairava, who is believed to be the protector of Kashi is her Bhairava. The temple is situated by the famous cremation grounds of Manikarnika.

Day 5 – Devi Annapoorneshwari

AnnapoorneshwariGoddess Devi is worshipped as Annapurna, the Goddess of Nourishment.

Parvati was told by her consort Shiva that the world is an illusion and that food is a part of this illusion called māyā. The Divine Mother who is worshiped as the manifestation of all material things, including food, became angry. To demonstrate the importance of her manifestation of all that is material, she disappeared from the world. Her disappearance brought time to a standstill and the earth became barren. There was no food to be found anywhere, and all the beings suffered from the pangs of hunger. Seeing all the suffering, Mother Parvati was filled with compassion and reappeared in Kashi and set up a kitchen. Hearing about her return, Shiva ran to her and presented his bowl in alms, saying, “Now I realize that the material world, like the spirit, cannot be dismissed as an illusion.” Parvati smiled and fed Shiva with her own hands. Since then Parvati is worshiped as Annapurna, the goddess of Nourishment.

The alankar done to Devi will be of Mother Shakambari where Devi is transformed into a Goddess Annapurna with vegetables, fruits & flowers. The name Shakambhari comes from “shakam” joined with the root “bhri”(“shaka” = vegetables or food and root “bhri” = to nourish).

Day 6 – Mahalakshmi Devi

Puranas refer to the story of the churning of the milky ocean and this narrative explains the birth of Lakshmi the Goddess of fortune.

She not only controls the physical wealth in the form of money but she controls all other forms of wealth also.Ashtalakshmi is the unified form referring to eight aspects of wealth and prosperity, both material and spiritual.

All forms of wealth are interlinked with each other. Man needs to have all of them so that he can become the master of wealth. The word Lakshmi is derived from the Sanskrit word Laksh, meaning goal. Lakshmi, therefore, represents the goal of life, which includes worldly as well as spiritual prosperity.

Day 7 – Mahishasura Mardhini

Durga is a fierce form of Devi, the Mother Goddess, the all-powerful almighty goddess. According to a legend, the gods could not defeat the buffalo demon Mahishasura, who was threatening the existence of the universe. They begged Shiva for his assistance, and Shiva advised all the gods to release their shaktis.

The shaktis of the gods emerged in female form. These goddesses fused together in blinding light from which arose a magnificent goddess with many arms. She was as beautiful as she was deadly. Durga was born fully-grown and is depicted as extremely beautiful and full of rage.

The gods called this goddess Durga, the invincible one, and they armed her with all their weapons. Thus armed, Durga rode to the top of a mountain on a lion. In a bloody battle, she defeated Mahishasura and his army of demons and thus saved the Universe from this demon’s menace.

Day 8 – Saraswati Devi

The story of Saraswati is an extremely important one in Indian mythology, because without her it’s said that life wouldn’t exist in the organized way it’s present today.

After creating the universe, Brahma was looking over what was made and realized it was unformed and utterly lacking in concept.

To help him with this monumental task of creating form, Brahma decided to create the embodiment of knowledge. So from his mouth emerged the Saraswati- the goddess of knowledge and wisdom.

Saraswati emerged from Brahma and began to give him direction on how to create order in the cosmos; the sun, moon, and stars all came into being.

She later became the bride of Brahma, as their matching created the order we see today.

Dressed in white, she rode on a swan, with books in one hand and the veena, a musical instrument, in the other. By way of sense, thought, understanding, and communication she helped Brahma see how to change chaos into creation. When she played the veena, he heard the soothing music amidst the roar of commotion. Chaos started taking shape; the sun, the moon, and the stars were born. The oceans filled and seasons changed. The joyous Brahma then named Saraswati, Vagdevi, the goddess of speech and sound. Thus Brahma became the creator of the world with Saraswati as his source of wisdom.

Day 9 – Devi Bhuvaneshwari

Bhuvaneshwari is the Queen (Ishvari) of the phenomenal world (bhuvan). It is the prime force Parashakti, which manifests herself as the phenomenal world.

Once Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, quarreled over who was supreme. When the quarrel became too serious, the Divine Mother took them to her abode, where they saw themselves as three women attendants, taking care of creation, preservation, and destruction.

Bhuvaneshwari is one of the ten Mahavidyas, the others are Kali, Tara, Shodasi, Bhairavi, Chinnamasta, Dhumavati, Matangi, Kamala, Bagla Mukhi. The Mahavidyas represent some or other incarnation or manifestation of the Divine Mother.

Her bija sound is the same as that of maya. Through the worship of Bhuvaneshwari the divine plan is realized and the illusionary nature of maya becomes the play of the divine Leela. This brings a deep change in the emotions and in body chemistry.

Devi Alankaram Sponsership ($250)

Sponsors will be receiving the benefit of each day’s rituals, with a blessed Sari worn by Devi Herself.

Kirtans & Garba

Navaratri is celebrated in different ways throughout India. Garba is a local dance form, performed during Navaratri. The significance of performing Garba is that it awakens Devi from her meditation. It is a prayer to Devi, entreating her to assume her destroyer form to save the Universe. While playing the Garba, a rhythm of three claps is used to invoke the energies of Lord Brahma, Vishnu & Shiva.

Thiruvilakku Puja

On the first Saturday of Navaratri (September 23th) at 4.30pm, we will be performing Thiru Vilakku (Lamp) Puja. We will be invoking the great mother Devi Mahalakshmi in all her eight auspicious forms during the Thiruvilakku puja to bless us all.

The worshipping of the Great Lakshmi & the Pancha Bhootas, during Thiruvilakku puja by women brings auspiciousness in all walks of life for herself, her extended family & in turn the whole world.

Grand Navagraha Dosha Parihara Homa

Grand Navagraha Dosha Parihara Homa

Rare Navagraha Dosha Parihara Homa Happens at Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple Houston Aadheenam

Navagraha HomaFor the very first time on North American soil, both the Navagraha Dosha Parihara Homa and the Rahu Ketu Puja have taken place on a large scale on June 3rd, 2017 at the Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple – Houston Aadheenam.

This was the first major event at our new Houston Hindu Temple after the grand opening only 3 months ago back in February of this year. During the opening, the temple was uniquely blessed and energized by H. H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda to be the Parihara Sthala for Navagraha Doshas (A sacred place that removes adverse effects of Nine planets).

The temple was flooded with more than 100 participating families and guests on site, and also included 37 online participants through video conferencing from 20 cities and 7 countries. The ritual was about 5 hours long, and all patrons enjoyed a grand traditional feast following the prayers.

The Navagraha Homa is a fire ritual performed to all the nine planets designed to remove all obstacles and negative influences in life. According to Vedic Scriptures, the nine planets influence each and every aspect of a human’s life and they have the power to change a person’s life in an instant. This Homa is performed by invoking all the nine grahas (planets) followed by performing the Navagraha Homa by offering nine type of daanyams (grains), flowers, colored vastra (cloth) & naivedhyas (food offering) to the grahas to receive the blessings of all the nine grahas.

Segments of the elaborate traditional agamic rituals consisted of Navagraha Puja, Sarpa Shanti Puja, and Abhishekam (sacred bath) to Rahu and Ketu (Shadow Planets). At the end of the ceremonies, there were light rain showers at the temple area, signifying cosmic blessings.

These rituals are performed in succeeding fashion to appease the planets, and remove all obstacles and negativity in our lives. Shivacharya, a Hindu priest from the sacred town of Thiruvannamalai, India to conduct the rituals.

HarPraveen, a participant from Vancouver, felt eternally grateful to be included in this ritual and was especially thankful to be able “to bring an authentic Homa of this magnitude and to experience it right in my home.” He profusely expressed his gratitude towards the Houston volunteers who organized this massive event and coordinated with all online participants.

The temple is 100% volunteer run and . is inspired by His Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda, who is recognized as a living incarnation by millions across the world, and Mahamandaleshwar of the most ancient apex body of Hinduism, the Mahanirvani Akhada.  Under the auspices of the worldwide governing body of Hinduism, Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad (ABAP), the temple promotes the values of Hinduism and supports the spiritual needs of the local Houston community.

Our temple offers many events including meditation workshops with His Holiness, yoga, demonstrations of Shaktis (spiritual powers) of the Third Eye, readings of the divine Akashic Records, and daily worship services. Rudrabhishekam during the Solar Eclipse

Rudrabhishekam during the Solar Eclipse

Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple Houston Aadheenam Remains Open During Solar Eclipse

Nithyanandeshwara Linga

While most or all Hindu temples across the country remained closed on Monday, 21 August 2017 during the “Once in 99 years” solar eclipse, the Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple, Houston Aadheenam remained open.

Uniquely blessed and energized by H. H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda to be a Parihara Sthala for Navagraha Doshas (A sacred place that removes adverse effects of Nine planets), the temple radiates the special energy of Navagraha Dosha Shanti. Lord Sri Nithyanandeshwara Sadashiva, the presiding deity of the temple, with a five-hooded serpent providing a canopy, carries the same energy of Sri Kalahastheeswara at Sri Kalahasti Temple. Sri Kalahasti Temple, in India, is also well-known to be the only Hindu Temple in India open during the time of Eclipse.

According to Hinduism and Vedic Tradition, unlike other planets, Rahu and Ketu are lunar nodes which do not exist in the physical plane, but are in fact shadows that influence the mind. They are represented as celestial serpents swallowing the sun and moon to cause solar and lunar eclipses respectively. This is a symbolic of the overwhelming of the mind which occurs in particular periods, during the Rahu transits or influence – and which is swallowed by ignorance, unconsciousness and deceit. As both Rahu and Ketu are tamed and worshipped in this temple, the eclipse will not cast any negative effect on the temple.

Lord Sri Nithyanandeshwara Sadashiva has the Navagraha Kavacham (armor with icons representing the nine planets) indicating the Lord’s total control over the planets. A Grand Rudrabhishekam was performed to the presiding deity, with 15 various substances, during the time period of the solar eclipse.

Abhishekam Offerings: Panchamrutham, Milk, Curd, Ghee, Lime Juice, Sandal Paste, Vibhuti, Turmeric, Snaana Powder, Jaggery, Tender Coconut, Cooked Rice, Rice Powder, Bilva Patra, Rose Water

Devotees who attended the Rudrabhishekam shared, “It is the best time to do meditation, and become more conscious and increase our awareness. We were so blessed to be part of such a rare once in a lifetime opportunity. ”

Our temple is 100% volunteer run and inspired by His Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda, who is recognized as a living incarnation by millions across the world, and Mahamandaleshwar of the most ancient apex body of Hinduism, the Mahanirvani Akhada.  Under the auspices of the worldwide governing body of Hinduism, Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad (ABAP), the temple promotes the values of Hinduism and supports the spiritual needs of the local Houston community.

4 Powers

4 Powers

Today I will expand on the results and benefits of bringing these four tattvas into your, internalizing all the four tattwas, what it can cause to you.

Please understand! Come to the space of listening!

I am defining “suffering”. Suffering is nothing but “the fight between the frozen part of you and the flowing component of life.”

Please listen! Suffering is nothing but the fight between the frozen part of you and the flowing component of life. Life by its very nature is alive, active, flowing. But, your logic by its very nature is frozen, cold, insensitive. And, do you know a very funny thing? Your logic will be insensitive to life, but it will always make you believe life is insensitive to you! Alright! It is the truth. Okay. Part of us is frozen and that fights with life, and so the suffering happens. That fight is the suffering. What is the way to get out of this suffering? What is the way to end the war?

Every war will end only with an agreement, with a settlement, with a pact, settlement-agreement. I tell you, the only settlement-agreement which can end the war in your life are the four principles: Integrity, Authenticity, Responsibility and Enriching.

Please listen! Listen! Listen sincerely! Listen in the space of listening!

When you bring Integrity in your thinking, Authenticity in your actions, Responsibility in your being, Enriching in your life, your frozen inside melts down, starts becoming one with life. It becomes a part of life. Becoming part of life is what I call “Enlightenment”. Just becoming part of life is what I call “Enlightenment”.

Sometimes people tell me, ‘I don’t want spiritual life. I don’t want these four tattwas.’ It is like telling, ‘I don’t want to breathe. I don’t want blood circulation.’ Then what to do? You need to understand that there is no such thing as “spiritual life” and “normal life”. Life is life is a life is a life! Life is a life is a life is a life!

Please listen! When it is frozen and carries lot of suffering in body and mind, you can call that as a normal life. When lot of your frozen components melt down and you are able to flow with life beautifully, I tell you, if you have the frozen part of you only to the level of “boat”, that is okay. The boat can float on the river of life. But when the frozen part becomes one-third of the river, the river itself is blocked in you! Understand, an ice-bar can be floating on the river; nothing wrong. Even if you have a little resistance only to the level of ice-bar, ice-cube, you can float on the river. But, if your resistance is like a frozen river, the river itself is a block!

I have seen, sometimes this huge frozen ice becomes even a barrier for the river to flow; seventy-five percent of the water will be stuck; only ten-twenty-five percent of the water goes beyond that ice-cube, iceberg. If your life is frozen to that level, then even life cannot happen through you. So, the first thing you need is the four tattwas. It is the simple principles like breathing and eating. Mix Integrity with your breathing, Authenticity with your eating, Responsibility with your blood circulation, Enriching with your actions. Understand, all four are directly connected. When you start thinking with Integrity, your breathing will become beautiful and best. That is the best pranayama you can do. Thinking with Integrity is the best pranayama! That is the result of all pranayamas!

What is pranayama? Some part of you does not get enough of oxygen. Your brain needs to get a certain level of oxygen. Your heart needs to get a certain level of oxygen. Your blood circulation needs to carry certain levels of oxygen to all parts of your body. Your body getting proper oxygen supply is the purpose of pranayama. The purpose of pranayama is achieved if your whole body gets enough supply of oxygen.

I have seen some people: only the brain gets oxygen; the heart doesn’t get oxygen. Any other component, any other part of their body doesn’t get oxygen! And same way, some other people: only the heart gets oxygen; their brain has no function! For some people: only their private parts get oxygen, nothing else gets oxygen! These are the different types of people, different types of life. So, pranayama is needed to balance and enrich the whole body with enough prana energy. If you think with Integrity, that will happen! If you think with Integrity, that will happen!

Listen! If you think with Integrity, that will happen!

Integrity will melt down all the blockages you carry in your breathing pattern. I can tell you, the physical result of Integrity is, all your breath-related, the air circulation-related, breathing-related problems will disappear and it will bring a lot of courage in your thinking.

Please understand! Listen, I am making a very important statement. Most of your sufferings are because you are afraid to think about some parts of your life, some components of your life. You are afraid of thinking! You always think, because you are thinking you are getting fear! No! You are actually afraid of thinking! That is why those thoughts may cause fear in you, you think, and then you stop thinking!

Listen! I am giving you an example. You think if you think about ghosts, you will have fear. But I tell you, because you are afraid to think about ghosts and its side-effects and after-effects, you are suffering. It is not that because you think about ghosts you are suffering. Because you are afraid to think about ghosts and its after-effects you are suffering. Fear of thinking! And, you also need to know, thinking about ghosts and its after-effects is not going to bring that effect on you. Thinking about the fire and its after-effects is not going to burn your body! When you have that clarity, you will know how not to be afraid of thinking.

Please listen! When you don’t have any fear of thinking about ghosts and its after-effects, you will never think about ghosts and have fear! Please get it! I am unlocking one of the important self-doubting structures of your being. Please understand! I am giving you the formulae of “life algebra”!

See, sometimes there will be a knot with which you are caught. You do not know where it starts and where it ends and how to unlock it! This is one of the important knots: If you think that when you think about ghosts you are frightened, shaken, so you should not think about ghosts, then you are wrong! You are not getting fear because you think, you are getting fear because you don’t want to think! And when you have the fear because you don’t want to think, that knot will continue to remind you of which you don’t want to think. It is like you don’t want to think about ghosts, then what will you be doing the whole day? You will be thinking you don’t want to think about ghosts! It is like the doctor telling, ‘Don’t remember monkey and drink this medicine!’ Can you ever drink that medicine? No! The moment you want to drink the medicine, the monkey is there in front of you and inside you!

Listen! So, ironing out your inner space and liberating yourself from fear of thinking is Integrity!

Understand, I am defining Integrity. When you practice Integrity, you will be free from fear of thinking!

You can nicely, comfortably sit and you will be able to think, ‘If ghost comes, what will happen? What all will be the possibility? It may just snatch my one hand and eat! And if it doesn’t feel satisfied, it may just pluck my one leg and eat! Then what else?’ If you are able to get to the extreme of any thinking logically without the fear or resistance, I tell you, that flow of thinking will not even happen in you a second time!

Listen! I am giving you one example: If you are afraid of ghost. There are some people who are afraid of disease. There are some people who are afraid of jail. There are some people who are afraid of poverty. About whatever you are afraid of, sit and in a very cool way, comfortable way, know very clearly that just because you are thinking you are not going to have it. Millions of things about which you thought, you did not have them. You always wanted a private jet, did you get it? No! You always wanted this, this, this, this, this; did you get it? No! So, know very clearly, mere thinking is never going to get you the results. Only creating a space is going to get you the results. “Creating the space” means, taking the responsibility along with thinking.

So, sit comfortably and tell yourself clearly, ‘Now I am going to merely allow myself to think to the extreme conclusions, the logical conclusions of any thought-trend about which I am afraid of. If I am afraid of poverty, let me sit and think about the extreme possibility of poverty. If I am afraid of being jail, let me sit and think about the extreme possibility of being in jail. If I am afraid of death, let me sit and think about the extreme possibility of death. If I am afraid of any disease, let me sit and think about the extreme possibility of disease.’

Listen! The fear of thinking does not let you think beyond a certain limit. Then that does not mean that fear is going to make you forget about that subject completely. For example, if you are afraid of a disease and you don’t think logically to the extreme end of the disease, it is not that your inner space will never remember about that disease. Logically you will not think, but unconsciously you will be brooding over it. I tell you, anything which stays in your unconscious as a weight and makes you brood over, bring all of them out and consciously think through to the logical conclusion. With Integrity, fear of thinking will disappear, and once the fear of thinking disappears, thinking cannot cause fear to you!

Please understand, as per the mutual law of Dhamma….. Please listen, the Cosmos functions with a law: Don’t give to others what should not be given to you. Don’t give to others what should not be given to you. If you don’t give to others what should not be given to you, what should not be given to you will not be given to you by others. It is a Cosmic law of life. Listen! Please internalize! When you don’t have fear of thinking, thinking will not give fear to you! It will not have fear of you! Both of you – you and your thinking – come to a war agreement: ‘Till today, we had war. Let us stop the war. Let us come to an agreement. Let us come to “cease fire” today. I will not be afraid of you; you don’t be afraid of me.’ That agreement is what I call as “Integrity”. You not having fear of thinking, and thinking not having fear of you; that agreement is “Integrity”.

Please understand! So the first thing you need to do in your life is, sit and think about all the subjects, dimensions, space and happenings of your life which you are not interested in thinking, about which you are afraid of thinking. If you are afraid of poverty, you have to sit and think, ‘What all can be the logical conclusions and effects of my poverty about which I am afraid, about which I don’t want to think?’ Sit and think, think, think. I am not saying bring that poverty to you. No! I am just saying, think, think, think. In a few days, I tell you, just in a few days – it may not take more than three-four days – your fear of poverty will dissolve! Please listen, whenever you do not have fear of thinking about something, that will not continue to haunt you and sit in your unconsciousness as weight.

Please listen! People who have a matted lock, Shiva jata hairstyle….. Actually, even three-four matted locks is equivalent to the normal person’s thickest hair, because if you open the matted lock and make it into normal hair, it will be ten times more voluminous! Please listen! Understand this example! Actually, two-hundred separate strands of hair whatever area it occupies in your head, when it becomes a single matted lock it will occupy only one-tenth of that space, because it becomes very thick! Same way, brooding over a thickened thought-trend. If you are afraid of poverty and never iron out by logically thinking about it that will sit in you like a knot, like a strand of thick hair. Same way, the part which sits in you which you don’t want to think about, but which continues to sit in you and attracts your attention that swallows your energy.

Please listen! If you are afraid of poverty, but don’t want to think about it logically, it is not that you are not going to think about poverty; you will constantly be afraid of poverty and brooding over poverty unconsciously, wasting all your energy, because that is going to be sitting in your lungs, in your heart like a big tumor; in your unconscious space as a big tumor. Ironing out your thinking and not being afraid of thinking about anything, taking any thinking to the logical conclusion, is “Integrity”!

Please listen! Whenever you want to think about poverty, death, jail, you are always afraid that if you think about all that, it may come in your life (as reality). But, whenever you want to think about richness, getting your desires fulfilled, you always have the fear, ‘even if I think about it, I will not get it.’ See the funny way your brain functions! All the things you want, you always think you are not going to get them. All the things you don’t want, you always think even by thinking you will get it. See, all the things you want in your life, you always think you won’t get them even if you work for it! But all the things you don’t want in your life, you always think you will get them even if you just think about them!

Life is not that unfair with you! Whatever happens in your life happens only after you think and TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for it. The ghost will happen in your life if you take the responsibility of inviting it. Poverty will happen in your life only when you take the responsibility of inviting it.

Please listen! Anything, anything happens only when you take the responsibility of inviting it, making it happen. You should know very clearly, you should know very clearly, you should see your own hypocrisy. Which you don’t want in your life, you feel even if you think about it, it will come! Which you always want in your life, you think even if you work for it, it will not come! What a funny belief space we create about life and then go on blaming life! If you create this kind of space, how will the life respond to you? Ironing out your thinking to the logical flow needs to be done as the first step in your life.

First thing you need to do today, sit and list out all the zones you are afraid of. If you are afraid of disease, first, disease; then next, death; third, jail; fourth, poverty; fifth, losing all the relationships; sixth, living your life in loneliness, seventh, living the life of being unattended; eighth, living the life without having any attention! Whatever you are afraid of – there are some people who have the fear of living life losing their mental balance, being mad – whatever fear you have, write it down and logically, sit and think about it. When you lose fear of thinking, thinking loses fear of you! When both of you lose fear of each other, you live happily, blissfully, married together forever! You live happily ever after! Having eternal romance with your thinking is “Integrity”!

Integrity takes away the fear component in your thinking. You can think about anything. You will take responsibility for the right thing. You will think about anything! You will take responsibility for the right thing. You will not have this perverted faith about you and your own life. Please understand, the “perverted faith” is: Whatever you don’t want, you are always afraid that even if you think about it, it will happen in you! Whatever you want, you are afraid that even if you take responsibility, it will not be given to you! It is the perverted reception to life!

Nirahara Samyama

Nirahara Samyama

What is Nirahara Samyama?

Samyama means exploring and discovering your various possibilities and powers being centered on certain technique or spiritual process. Nirahara Samyama means exploring and discovering our body’s possibility without having  any external input like food or water.

The purpose of the Samyama is to awaken our own natural intelligence of making food out of natural resources like sun rays, air and the praana which is directly available to us from the space. Swamiji says if fish can swim, we can swim, if bird can fly, we can fly and if plants can make food directly from the air and sun rays, our body can  also do that. Every extraordinary capability and possibility is inside our bio memory.

When our bio memory is awakened, we don’t need a will. We just like that feel highly energetic and highly feeling excited. Mainly we get liberated from many patterns that got created with food.  Every human being associates his fears, greed, attention need and idea of love with food. All patterns associated with love and attention need is connected with food. Food is a very emotional zone. Now when we are liberated by master from food and patterns created by food, the first thing that will happen is the unnecessary emotions and sentiments associated with food will break. So the reasonless excitement, kind of subtle joy will be constantly happening in our system.

Technique:

EFU:

eN-Chanting – Ajapa japa

Feeling Connection – Mahabhava

Unclutching – Sahaja Samadhi

Ajapa Japa is one of the most powerful process and technique. It releases certain kind of energy from our body, nectar from the throat. Shakthi sanchaalana happens through Ajapa Japa means constantly the Kundalini is awakened but never allowed to go out of the body and it stays inside the body.  Japa means just the voice coming from the naval through the throat and tongue and leaving, a continuous linear movement of air getting converted to sound is Japa. In Ajapa Japa, the Guru Mantra: “Oh Hreem Nithyanandaya Namaha” mantra is repeated constantly with the visualisation of the mantra moving in circular direction around the throat. A prayer wheel with the mantra written in it will help in Ajapa Japa in the initial levels  It helps in getting inside our inner space and unclutching becomes easy. Feeling connection – meditating on the Anandha Gandha Chakra remembering the master, being in Bhakti, the joy of looking for him and remembering him. Unclutching – Being an observer of  all the thoughts that arise by just witnessing them, neither encouraging them nor suppressing them.

What are the Levels in Nirahara Samyama?

Initially there are 3 levels of Nirahara Samyama where Swamiji leads the participants into a meditation to prepare the body to get the bio memory awakened. First level happens continuously for 2 days wherein the participants are supposed to take only liquid diet. After 2 days, Swamiji gives a break and asks the participants to take their regular solid diet for a day or two. The Next level happens for 7 days again during which the participants are expected to take only liquid diet following which a break for solid food is given for a day or two. The Third level happens for 11 days. On completing the third level taking only liquid food for 11 days, the participants is eligible of doing THE LEVEL. During the first 3 levels, the participants can either come on 2-way video conferencing or Nayana Deeksha or can also participate in the physical presence of the master. THE LEVEL happens continuously for 21 days only in the physical presence of the master. All the 3 levels are practiced one after the other in each batches. A participant is expected to complete all the 3 levels at a stretch following the liquid diet in a single batch itself. If the participant happens to break out of Samyama, either not able to sustain with liquid food and eats solid food, or couldn’t come continuously on 2-way or fall sick, they have to again continue from the first level. For example, if a participant practising Samyama at some day in between the 2nd or 3rd level, he/she is expected to start again from the first level of the next batch.

What are the liquids that I can have while practising the Nirahara Samyama?

All juices, buttermilk and clear soups are allowed as a part of liquid diet. It is important that the participant should not take anything that is chewable or solid while taking these liquids

Important to be noted while practising Nirahara Samyama

Swamiji had clearly mentioned that at any point of time during the Samyama, if the participants feel hungry, sick or tired, they have to immediately break the Samyama and take solid food. It is important for the participant to take care of their health. Once they break their health, it would be difficult for them to undertake any more Samyama that Swamiji would give in future. It is essential to always practice EFU (eN-Chanting – Ajapa japa, Feeling Connection – Mahabhava and Unclutching – Sahaja Samadhi) while in Nirahara Samyama.

Can I practice first 3 levels of Nirahara Samyama without being in 2-way video conferencing or just being in 1 way (watch through Nithyananda TV). I can’t always come on 2-way.

Swamiji gives a KRIYA for all the Nirahara Samyama participants where in he puts them in a process and awakens their bio memory.

The participants can do the Nirahara Samyama just by watching through 1 way i.e

1. Nithyananda TV

2. Sadhna TV

3. Lotus TV

How can I get a 2-way video conferencing connection?

You can reach out to your nearest temple / satsang centre or you can have your own 2-way connection from your home. For more details on how to get a 2-way video conferencing connection, check out the below link:

Completion

Completion

Overcome Your Fear!

Listen, if your root patterns are the seed, and your incompletions are the tree, suffering is the fruit, then fear is the sand, the soil on which the seed grows. Fear is the base on which all these incompletions and root patterns grow.

All the incompletions related to greed are only in muscle-memory level; meaning, only a little deeper than your skin. But, all the incompletions related to fear are in your bio-memory level, where your whole body responds from, where your whole body goes through a very poisonous chemical change. It is such a dangerous thing! You allowing the chemical change due to fear is the worst punishment you give to yourself. It is worse than drinking alcohol and smoking. It can cause cancer and more diseases than smoking, drinking or taking drugs. That is why I always insist: work on your completion, get out of fear itself, not the situations which you think cause the fear.

Change of Place Will not Change Your Life!

It is very unfortunate, sometimes we think that by changing the situation we can come out of the fear. But again and again, life will teach you that only by completing you will come out of any fear, never by changing any situation. But what to do? Everybody thinks the solution in front of them is the easiest solution and it will be permanent. No!

Whenever you act from your incompletions of fear and anxiety, it is literally like you are going through an acid bath. At that time, you don’t know this, and you escape from that situation. I have seen in my life, whoever escaped from a situation which creates fear, they die in that same pattern. So, whenever you are attacked by fear and incompletions of fear, don’t change the situation. The first priority should be completing with the fear, completing with your anxiety, completing with your incompletions. Because, when you change the situation, it may give a temporary relief. Incompletions of fear will be complete only with one truth. You need to internalize this one truth: Anything you resist will persist. So, do the completion wherever you are resisting.

Life is Boring Without Completion

Without completion, life will be boring! Anything you do out of incompletion will be boring, even if it is new things. That is why the incomplete society is going mad after these adrenalin related things. Today, you try to go on a roller coaster but that also does not give a ‘kick’; then you move to some other mad entertainment; then finally, you decide do bungee jumping! See, what all you do for the sake of a ‘kick’ and adrenaline!

A small joke:
Wife: Honey, the doctor has advised me to take a month’s vacation in some serene place like Switzerland or Greece. Where shall we go?
Husband: To another doctor!

Understand, unless you change the space of incompletion, nothing, nothing, nothing is going to help you, nothing is going to transform your life. This is a very important truth. Stop changing the situation to save yourself! Start changing the incompletion in you.

Respect Your Life!

Listen! Only when completion starts, only when the incompletions melt down, when you reject incompletions from your cognition, even respect for your life starts. When you respect life, when you understand life, when you respond to life out of completion, life will respond to you out of completion. Only after completion, life starts in you. Only after completion, you even relate with your own life.

Completion brings a deep respect for your life within you. Please listen! Don’t ever think you have respect for your life, you have concern for your life. Any addiction you carry, whether it is alcohol, smoking, or even addiction to worrying, clearly shows you don’t have respect for your life. Don’t take your respect for your life as guaranteed or granted. Because you don’t have respect for your life, life reacts the same way to you.

Full and Fulfilled

Completion means creating a space which is full and where you can live. Completion keeps you full and gives you the space to live! Incompletion keeps you full, but never fulfilled; you will never be able to live there.

All the modern day CEOs and leaders are filled with stress. You are filled, not fulfilled! You are occupied, but not useful! Before making one decision, you will think about it 200 times, so you are tired! Please understand, reduce the bureaucratic stress you create for yourself. Reduce the incompletions you infuse into yourself. Reduce the abuse you do to yourself.

Be Integrated With Who You Want to Be!

Please listen! Maintain Integrity with what you want to BE! Because every thought, whether it happens with awareness or without awareness, gets a ‘tathaastu’ from the Cosmos… a huge ‘tathaastu’, from the Cosmos!

You will have to bear the consequences of your thoughts, whether you want it or not, you are aware of it or not.

Just understand one thing, bring integrity into your thinking; do completion with your thoughts every time you have a thought which is not aligned with what you want to be. Complete every thought which is not aligned with your authenticity, which is not aligned with your mamakara (what you believe as you), ahamkara (what you project as yourself to others), anyakara (others’ expectation from you) and sva anyakara (what you believe about others and life). By bringing integrity into your thinking, you will radiate completion!

Are you Operating from a Pattern or Possibility?

Please listen, whether your inner space is pattern or possibility, can be understood just by looking at the results you produce by your actions. The results you have as the inner and outer reality of your life are the real reflection of the inner space you are carrying which is either a space of patterns or a space of possibility. You need to understand that based on the results you produce, you can very clearly see whether you are established in a space of patterns or possibility.

Stand Up to Your Patterns!

A small story:
A blonde goes to the doctor with both of her ears and her right hand burnt. “Sit down and tell me how it happened,” says the doctor.
“I was ironing my clothes when I received a call. Instead of picking up the phone, I picked up the iron and burned my ear.”
“’What about the other ear and your hand?”
“I tried to call for an ambulance.”

Allowing your patterns to affect your actions and decisions again and again is allowing them to gain power over you. The best way to reach completion is to never allow your pattern to stand up again. Before the fellow stands up, beat it! The biggest problem we have is that today we complete – and if we feel complete, great – then we take rest till the next time when the pattern comes up again and then we feel suffocated. That is wrong. Even if you feel complete, continue the completion process by digging out, digging out, digging out. Ask yourself, ‘Is there any other incompletion, are there any other ideas I carry as impossible?’

Just because you feel light, relieved in your heart, just because the suffocations are less in your heart, don’t think that completion is done. Feeling that no suffocation is there is the first step of completion. With this you get the signal that you are moving in the right direction. The board “Bangalore: 97 Kms” is not Bangalore! The moment you see the board “Bangalore: 97 Kms”, you say, “Come on, great! I have reached Bangalore!” And you just lie down, put your tent and start cooking and rolling on the ground! No! The board “Bangalore: 97 Kms” is not Bangalore itself! Same way, the relief you find for the first few days during the completion is not the end of completion! Completion should be carried on till you become enlightened.

Disown Your Incompletions!

Understand, when a robber, burglar and murderer can become Valmiki overnight, when a womanizer like Arunagirinatha Swami can become a great saint overnight, your incompletions are nothing in front of all of them. In front of Tulsidas’ attachments, your attachments and incompletions are nothing!

Your incompletions will get more and more powerful as long as you associate yourself with them. Don’t constantly associate with that incompletion! Don’t even own up! Just disown! Disowning your incompletions is complete completion. If you are convinced that you have disowned your incompletions, you are complete!

See, there are some incompletions, from which you can simply disassociate yourself. You yourself believe you are disassociated from them. There are some incompletions, even you don’t believe you are disassociated from them. Complete only with those incompletions. Disassociating yourself from all incompletions is real completion.

The more you become complete, the more you become a matured soul. The soul which is complete is equivalent to the soul which has seen life, which has experienced everything. Incompletion makes you more and more immature. Completion makes you more and more matured.
