On Friday, 30 June 2017 at 5pm, we will be witnessing Abhishekam to Sri Nithyanandeshwara.

On Aani Uthiram day, Lord Shiva appeared before Sage Manikkavachakar under a Kurundai Tree and offered Upadesha (advice). Sage Manikkavachakar is the author of Thiruvachakam. It is considered the best day to worship Lord Shiva.

1 year of humans is considered a day for Immortals Devathas and each season of humans is considered a period of day (EG dawn, morning,noon, afternoon, evening, night). The time in between the period of dawn and dusk is dedicated for Lord Shiva and he physically comes down to bless us. The Immortal day Pradosham period falls twice a year – Month of Aani Uthara and Margazhi Utharam Nakshatram which is a June 30th 2017 and Jan 1st 2018.
